Plot Synopsis

Based on the podcast of the same name, DOWN THE HILL: THE DELPHI MURDERS is a two-part special that explores the gruesome 2017 murders of two young girls -- Abigail Williams and Liberty German -- which rocked the small town of Delphi, IN. These crimes remain unsolved despite audio and video of the alleged killer, leaving a murderer on the loose. This program highlights several new developments in the case, including a one-on-one interview with Sheriff Tobe Leazenby, the man leading the investigation. The Sheriff goes further into his description of the evidence on Libby's phone than ever before, talking specifically about what is and what is not on the phone. Leazenby also reveals new, detailed insight into the 2-day search for the girls and discloses the one thing he wishes he did differently. Lead prosecutor Nick McLeland, who remains steadfast and refuses to call this a cold case, further describes the current leads the team is working on and what he's doing, day by day, to get the case solved and into the courtroom, as they try to find justice for Abby and Libby. The two, 60-minute installments debut at 10pm ET/PT on HLN on consecutive nights: Sunday, February 14 and Monday, February 15, 2021.
