Plot Synopsis

Based on Dan Yaccarino's "Doug Unplugged" book series, DOUG UNPLUGS is a half-hour animated series that follows a young robot named Doug who senses there's more to life than just the facts. While other robots plug in for their daily download, curious Doug unplugs and journeys into the human world, and with his best friend Emma, experiences its wonders firsthand. Each half-hour episode features two stories. On Friday, November 13, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Apple TV+ released seven episodes of DOUG UNPLUGS. Apple TV+ released the second half of Season 1 on Friday, April 2, 2021, as the streaming service dropped six new episodes. In the spring premiere, "Bot at the Museum; X Marks the Bot," Uncle Forkrick takes Doug and Emma to see a big dinosaur exhibit; Doug and Emma make their own treasure when they can't find any at the beach.

On Friday, September 17, 2021, Apple TV+ released the first seven episodes of DOUG UNPLUGS' second season, including "Botty Holidays," a half-hour holiday story. This season, Doug and Emma have become expert explorers as they embark on new adventures in Mega City. They find themselves learning about the deep sea, playing in a band, and going to school!

The final six Season 2 episodes dropped on Friday, April 1, 2022 on Apple TV+. In the mid-season debut, "Carnival Bots; Busy Bots," Emma's excited to show the bots her favorite carnival ride; Doug and Emma try to find an activity to keep the twins entertained.
