Plot Synopsis

In three one-hour episodes, this series highlights how the solar system started, how long it will last, and what will happen when it disappears. The three episodes are: "Life," which documents how the solar system was created, why the sun will expand and destroy the Earth, and the search for other habitable planets in the universe; "Survival," which highlights how long the current conditions will last and what would happen if a black hole was on a collision course with Earth; and "Destiny," which focuses on how mankind would survive any cataclysmic event, including a possible escape route that reaches out into deep space.
