Plot Synopsis

In this three-part documentary series, Mark Evans tracks down the remains of some of history's most important and infamous figures, and uses cutting-edge DNA analysis to find out more about what made them who they were. Mark discovers that Elvis Presley could have suffered from a genetic heart muscle disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which may have led to his tragically early death. Then, Mark comes face-to-face with Napoleon's penis in New Jersey, and he tries to learn more about John F Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe from samples of their hair. Plus, Mark follows the trail of relics claimed to come from Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun: bones sold by a KGB defector and hair apparently found on a hairbrush at Hitler's mountain retreat.
