Plot Synopsis

With Lester Holt as the primary anchor, SATURDAY NIGHT MYSTERY is a weekly series that presents compelling and dramatic two-hour stories, that previously aired on DATELINE NBC and featured suspenseful twists-and-turns. In the series premiere, "Miles from Nowhere," Keith Morrison reported on a young father in the California mountains, who called 911 to report that he had been in a shoot-out with a car full of strangers. With one man dead and two others injured, authorities wondered if this was self-defense or something else.

On Sunday, May 10, 2015, NBC announced that DATELINE SATURDAY NIGHT MYSTERY will return for its second season this Fall, airing Saturdays from 8-10pm ET/PT.
