Plot Synopsis

DARK TOURIST is a 40-minute docuseries that follows journalist David Farrier, as he travels around the world to visit bizarre and dangerous tourist destinations. The series opens with David meeting Pablo Escobar's enforcer in Colombia. Later in the series premiere, he witnesses an exorcism in Mexico and participates in a faux illegal border crossing. Then, David travels to Japan where he visits a town hit by heavy radiation, hikes through a supposedly haunted forest and explores an abandoned island with its former residents. Next, in the United States, David meets a Jeffrey Dahmer enthusiast in Milwaukee, takes two tours dedicated to JFK's assassination in Dallas and dines with vampires in New Orleans. David also visits The Stans, Europe, South East Asia, Africa, and the U.S. once again on his journey. On Friday, July 20, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the eight-episode first season of DARK TOURIST.
