Plot Synopsis

DARK SIDE OF THE '90S, the third series in VICE's DARK SIDE franchise, takes a deep dive into the decade's untold history, revealing secrets, and perspectives. The series opener, "Trash TV: Dirty and Deadly Talk," chronicles how talk television in the 1990s evolved from the cerebral DONAHUE show to the trashy JERRY SPRINGER, creating a new format that fused combustive relationships, shock and violence to entertain the masses.

On Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT, VICE premiered the 10-episode second season of DARK SIDE OF THE '90S. In the season opener, "Arseniooo Hall!," Arsenio Hall carves out a niche in the white, late-night world by showcasing hip-hop artists and emerging talent.
