Plot Synopsis

John Ross, the son of J.R. and Sue Ellen Ewing, is determined to undermine his grandmother's legacy by drilling for oil on Ewing land, while Christopher, Bobby's adopted son, hopes to take the family business in a new direction of alternative energy sources. Elena Ramos makes the relationship between John and Christopher even more tense -- Elena is John's girlfriend and Christopher's former fiancee. Now, Christopher is engaged again, but to Rebecca Sutter, who is trying to find her place in the vast Ewing family tree. With an increasingly volatile feud brewing between John Ross and Christopher, the stage is set for J.R. to return to his nefarious ways and rekindle the long-standing rivalry with his younger brother, while Bobby, the new family patriarch, will stop at nothing to keep John Ross and Christopher from perpetuating the family battle that tore the Ewings apart for so many years. When DALLAS returned for its second season on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 9pm ET, TNT aired back-to-back new episodes, featuring the continuing clash between Christopher and John Ross, as John Ross took revenge on Christopher and Elena and as J.R. and John Ross struck a deal to try to get control of Ewing Energies. Later in Season 2, DALLAS presented a J.R. memorial episode, including his private funeral and surprise appearances by a few former cast members, following the November 2012 death of actor Larry Hagman.
