Plot Synopsis

During a week-long vacation, cast members will take part in an honest and uncensored conversation on how celebrity couples showcase the challenges and triumphs of their relationships, navigating the complex waters of love, heartache and communication. COUPLE RETREAT also highlights various social issues including mental health, racial injustice, prison reform and more. In a high-tech world where everyone is living in the public eye and on social media, VH1 Couples Retreat takes a deep dive into the real conversations and candid, intimate moments that these very public couples have never revealed. The cast includes: Yandy Smith-Harris & Mendeecees Harris; Deelishis & Raymond Santana; Michael Blackson & Rada; Rasheeda & Kirk Frost; and Ray J & Princess Love.Additionally, the cast is joined by special experts including AJ Johnson (life coach), Lakara Foster (psychic medium), Dr. Russell Kawakami (relationship expert) and Deva Ward (tantra expert and sexologist).

Season 2 of COUPLES RETREAT premiered on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT on VH1. During a week-long vacation, cast members will take part in an honest and uncensored conversation on how celebrity couples showcase the challenges and triumphs of their relationships, navigating the complex waters of love, heartache and communication. The series also highlights various social issues including mental health, overcoming infidelity, navigating grief and loss, spirituality, having children and more. Hosted by Michael Blackson and his fiancee Rada, the cast also includes Ronnie DeVoe and Shamari DeVoe, Claudia Jordan and her boyfriend KJ, high school sweethearts Nick Young and Keonna, Styles P and Adjua, and Jess Hilarious and her boyfriend Daniel. The couples are joined by relationship gurus and experts, including esteemed Life Coach AJ Johnson and NBA champion John Salley. In the season opener, "Dig a Little Deeper," Michael Blackson and Rada's recent engagement may be on the rocks. Ronnie DeVoe and his wife Shamari relive their painful past. Claudia Jordan wants commitment from her boyfriend KJ while Keonna questions her happily ever after with fiance Nick Young.

Moving to MTV for its third season, Season 3 of COUPLES RETREAT premiered on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT on MTV. Hosts AJ Johnson and Tony Gaskins have invited six couples whose love lives have been splashed across the headlines to take a gamble on their love in Las Vegas. The couples attending the retreat are putting all of their chips on the table in Vegas, and they are forced out of their comfort zones to rediscover each other with the help of unconventional, high-octane guest experts. From ziplining through the Vegas Strip, survivalist training in the wilderness with an expert ninja survivalist, trapezing with former Cirque du Soleil performers, to herding cattle and untamed bulls, the activities will challenge the couple on a different level.

On Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 9-11pm ET/PT, MTV premiered back-to-back new episodes to close out COUPLES RETREAT's third season:

"Come On, Baby, Light My Fire" (9pm): Falynn is confronted by more headlines about her past. AJ and Tony prepare a wilderness therapy workshop, where emotions hit an all-time high. And Bre-Z and Chris open up more about their relationship, but a deeper issue is stirred.

"Vow & Forever?" (10pm): After an emotional breakthrough, Bre-Z realizes she has more healing to do. Falynn drops a bomb that leaves Jaylan with a big decision to make. After exchanging new vows, will everyone be celebrating a new lease on love or will some fly home solo?
