Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Jonathan Bennett, COPYCAT is a half-hour daily series that features contestants singing famous songs, as they vie for the $5,000 prize. Each 30-minute episode opens with six contestants paying tribute to their celebrity icons in a cat-fight battle, as two fans who idolize the same artist are pitted against each other in a sing-off in front of a live studio audience. The audience of voters is not able to see the singer at first and the contestants must rely solely on their voices to impress the audience. One person makes it out of each of the three cat-fight battles, but only two advance to the final round. The two final performers then undergo makeovers to transform them into their celebrity idols for one last performance of the idols' songs -- and their last chance to win $5,000.
