Plot Synopsis

COMIC BOOK MEN follows the staff, fanboys and customers at Kevin Smith's iconic comic shop, Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash. Smith, an executive producer of this series, originally purchased the store in 1998 for $30,000 to fulfill his friend's dream of running a comic-book shop -- mainly because his friend wanted the discounts. Since then, the store has expanded its line of merchandise, including film memorabilia. This series marks the first time that Smith's friends are actually on-screen even though he's used bits and pieces of their personalities in his movies. In Season 2, which debuted on October 14, 2012, the series features guests like Stan Lee, who stops by the store, and Brian O'Halloran from CLERKS, who helps out for a day. COMIC BOOK MEN returned for its third season at midnight on Sunday, October 13, 2013 on AMC. In the Season 3 opener, Lou Ferrigno talks to Bryan about his weight and gives him a lesson on fitness. Other guest stars in this season included: Nichelle Nichols (Uhura from the original STAR TREK series), Jason Mewes, Brian O'Halloran, and legendary comics writer and illustrator George Perez. On Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Midnight, AMC debuted the Season 4 premiere of COMIC BOOK MEN. In the season opener, "Heir Apparent," Kevin sends his daughter Harley to the Stash to learn how to be a clerk. Meanwhile, a customer sells his rare and unusual Rocky action figures. In addition to Harley Smith, Adam West and Billy Dee make guest appearances in Season 4. COMIC BOOK MEN returned for the remainder of its fourth season on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 11:59pm ET/PT, as AMC premiered back-to-back new episodes. In the night's first episode, "Dragging Rights," Adam West visits and a race between the Batmobile and Black Beauty ensues; meanwhile, a customer sells the first appearance of Rocket Raccoon. Then, in the night's second installment, "Mr. Adams," artist Neal Adams and writer Denny O'Neil visit the Stash, and the guys see a set of 50-year-old Batman night lights. Season 5 of COMIC BOOK MEN premiered on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from Midnight-1am ET/PT, as AMC debuted back-to-back new episodes. Season 5 takes another dive into geekdom by following the antics in and around master fanboy Kevin Smith's New Jersey comic shop. Special guests this season include comic book mastermind Stan Lee, artistic genius John Romita Jr., and the gentle giant inside Chewbacca, actor Peter Mayhew. And in a COMIC BOOK MEN first, Kevin Smith drops by William Shatner's personal office to pick the brain of Captain Kirk himself. Season 6 of COMIC BOOK MEN premiered at 12:40am ET/PT late night Sunday, October 23, 2016 (early morning Monday, October 24). In the season opener, "Bucket List," Walt and the boys go on a trip to cross off a bucket-list item, and four key Spider-Man issues come to the Stash. Late night Sunday, October 22, 2017 (early morning Monday, October 23) at 1:05am ET/PT, AMC premiered the seventh season of COMIC BOOK MEN. Continuing to lead the team behind the shop's counter are Walt, Bryan, Michael and Ming, who geek out over mind-blowing pop culture artifacts and the legends behind them. Whether it's buying and selling memorabilia or embarking on wild adventures away from the store, The Stash cast shares all the juicy details with Kevin during their hilarious podcast, which is woven throughout the series. In the season opener, "Return of the Living Stash," Kevin Smith and the guys discuss how THE WALKING DEAD started out as a comic book and became a cultural phenomenon. Special guests later this season include LUKE CAGE star Mike Colter, Rosario Dawson, Burt Ward, Method Man, and Freddy Kruger himself, Robert Englund.
