Plot Synopsis

Once or twice a year since 2003, Comedy Central has hosted a special comedy program during which comedians, celebrities and friends roast the guest of honor.

THE COMEDY CENTRAL ROAST OF JAMES FRANCO, hosted by Roast Master Seth Rogen, was taped on August 25, 2013 at Culver Studios in Hollywood, CA, and premiered one week later on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT on Comedy Central. During the roast, the following celebs and comedians skewered Franco: Aziz Ansari, Andy Samberg, Nick Kroll, Jonah Hill, Sarah Silverman, Natasha Leggero, Bill Hader, fellow FREAKS AND GEEKS alums Samm Levine and Busy Philipps & Jeffrey Ross.

THE COMEDY CENTRAL ROAST OF JUSTIN BIEBER, hosted by Roast Master Kevin Hart, was taped on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Sony Studios and premiered two weeks later on Monday, March 30, 2015 from 10pm-Midnight ET/PT on Comedy Central. The #BieberRoast featured these celebrity Roasters: Jeffrey Ross, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Shaquille O'Neal, Martha Stewart, Pete Davidson, Hannibal Buress, Chris D'Elia, and Natasha Leggero.

On Monday, September 5, 2016 from 10pm-Midnight ET/PT, Comedy Central premiered THE COMEDY CENTRAL ROAST OF ROB LOWE, with a simulcast on Spike and TV Land. With David Spade as the Roast Master, this event was taped at Sony Studios one week earlier on Saturday, August 27, featuring celebrities like Peyton Manning, Ralph Macchio, Jeff Ross, Nikki Glaser, Rob Riggle, Jewel, and Ann Coulter.

On Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 10pm-Midnight ET/PT, Comedy Central premiered THE COMEDY CENTRAL ROAST OF BRUCE WILLIS, with a simulcast on VH1, MTV, and BET. With Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the Roast Master, #BruceWillisRoast was taped at the Hollywood Palladium two weeks earlier on Saturday, July 14, featuring celebrities like Kevin Pollak, Edward Norton, Jeff Ross, Dennis Rodman, Martha Stewart, Nikki Glaser, Lil Rel Howery, Dom Irrera, Cybill Shepherd, and Demi Mooore.

THE COMEDY CENTRAL ROAST OF ALEC BALDWIN premiered on Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 10pm-Midnight ET/PT on Comedy Central, with a simulcast on MTV, VH1, CMT, TV Land, Nickelodeon, and Paramount Network. Roast Master Sean Hayes is joined by other celebrity roasters, including Adam Carolla, Robet De Niro, Nikki Glaser, Blake Griffin, Caitlyn Jenner, Ken Jeong, Chris Redd, Caroline Rhea, and Jeff Ross. The #BaldwinRoast taped at the Saban Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 7, 2019.
