Plot Synopsis

Created by Ava DuVernay and narrator Colin Kaepernick, COLIN IN BLACK & WHITE is a six-episode drama series that chronicles Kaepernick's formative years as the Black adopted child of a white family while navigating race, class and culture -- and always aspiring for greatness. The series opens with eighth grader Colin, inspired by his basketball idol, embracing his individuality and hip-hop culture in a way that startles his parents and coaches. With dreams of being a high school varsity quarterback, Colin learns the hard way that talent isn't the only thing he'll need to prosper on the field. The entire six-episode series dropped on Friday, October 29, 2021 on Netflix.
