Plot Synopsis

In cosmopolitan 1950s Istanbul, a mother with a troubled past works at a nightclub to reconnect with and help the rebellious daughter she couldn't raise. Newly out of prison, Matilda visits the rabbi to ask after her daughter, Rasel, whose fate rests with Celebi, a nightclub manager with a vendetta. Matilda's attempts to connect with Rasel initially come to naught, but she eventually tells Rasel about a family tragedy -- obscuring the truth. The first six episodes of THE CLUB dropped on Friday, November 5, 2021 on Netflix. On Thursday, January 6, 2022, Netflix released Part 2 of THE CLUB, which includes four more episodes. The source of Matilda's guilt comes to light as a figure from the past returns. Rasel and Ismet arrive at an impasse as violence looms over Istanbul. This new batch of episodes opens with Celebi revealing a shocking truth to Selim, who makes a personal sacrifice for Matilda's sake. Orhan takes on great risk to cover Mevhibe's tracks.

Season 2 of THE CLUB debuted on Friday, September 15, 2023 on Netflix, which released the entire 10-episode new season. With her husband gone, Rasel raises her daughter at Club Istanbul with the help of her mother, but their relationships are tested by loss and betrayal. In the season opener, growing up in the halls of Club Istanbul, Rana longs for the father she doesn't know. Matilda learns that the future of the club is at stake.
