Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Rashida Jones, Will McCormack and series showrunner Janine Sherman Barrois, CLAWS is a one-hour dramedy series set in the Nail Artisan salon in Manatee County, Florida, revealing the lives and crimes of the five women who work there. Desna Simms, the owner of the salon, lives and works with her mentally ill twin brother Dean, and has a driver named Quiet Ann who also provides security at the salon. The other staff at the salon include: Desna's best friend Jennifer -- a former hard partier now tenuously sober and a married mother of two young girls -- who deeply loves her family but sometimes feels trapped; mild-mannered Polly, who has recently been released from prison, where she did time for identity theft on seniors; and Virginia, who has been filling in at the nail salon, making no effort to hide her boredom and impatience with the job. Adding chaos to the Nail Artisan mix is Roller, a gangstered-out redneck who runs a barely legal pain clinic and uses Desna's nail salon to launder their obscene profits; Bryce, Jennifer's husband who is also newly sober and trying to stay legit by working as an abundance coach; and Dr. Ken Brickman, a bona fide doctor at a decidedly un-bona fide and illegal drug clinic. On Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Midnight ET/9pm PT, TNT premiered a one-hour sneak peek of CLAWS, immediately following INSIDE THE NBA after Game 5 of the NBA EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS, featuring the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics.

Season 2 of CLAWS premiered on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on TNT, and the fierce women of the Nail Artisans of Manatee County are now under new management -- the Russians. Niecy Nash, Carrie Preston, Judy Reyes, Karrueche Tran, Jenn Lyon, Jack Kesy, Kevin Rankin, Jason Antoon, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Suleka Mathew, Harold Perrineau, and Dean Norris star in the second season. While it has always been Desna's mission to break free of the redneck syndicate and become her own boss, last season saw Desna trade one crime boss for another as the Russian mob took control of both the pain clinic and the salon. With new Russian management comes new problems for the women to navigate. In the season opener, "Shook," Desna and the girls struggle to keep their hope alive while still working under the thumb of the new Russian regime, spearheaded by Riva. A blissful Desna remains in the dark about her gangster/gyno boyfriend, Ruval. Virginia tells Dean that she's pregnant with his baby. A newly domesticated Polly is jubilant when tasked with being a madam for an all-male dance troupe. Meanwhile, a depressed Uncle Daddy, still reeling from the loss of his beloved Juanda, has been stripped of his Dixie Mafia kingdom and is forced to do menial jobs for the Russians. The power dynamic shifts once again when Riva's sister, Zlata, arrives to change the game.

TNT premiered Season 3 of CLAWS on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT. In Season 3, the ladies quickly learn that the stakes couldn't be higher in the casino world, and Desna will take a gamble as she enters into business with a sinister couple, Mac (guest star Michael Horse) and Melba (guest star Rebecca Creskoff). Returning cast includes Niecy Nash, Carrie Preston, Judy Reyes, Karrueche Tran, Jenn Lyon, Jack Kesy, Kevin Rankin, Jason Antoon, Evan Daigle, Suleka Mathew, Harold Perrineau, and Dean Norris. This season, Niecy Nash and Carrie Preston each direct an episode. In the season opener, "Just the Tip," in the wake of Virginia being shot, the crew must regroup to face their off-kiltered new adversaries, Mac and Melba Lovestone, so they can run Bayside Rapture Casino like the bosses they are.

On Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 9-11pm ET/PT, TNT premiered the fourth and final season of CLAWS, as the cable channel debuted back-to-back new episodes. In the season opener (9pm), "Chapter One: Betrayal," with the casino gone, Desna is prepared to return to her roots as a money-laundering nail mogul, which proves to be more difficult than expected, propelling her and the crew further into a world of criminality. Then, in the second episode (10pm), "Chapter Two: Vengeance," Desna's plan to sell Oxy to a higher-class clientele is quickly sabotaged by Uncle Daddy and Quiet Ann, escalating the drug war. Two days earlier -- on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT during FRIDAY NIGHT VIBES, hosted by Tiffany Haddish and Deon Cole -- tbs premiered an early sneak peek of the CLAWS' final season's first episode. As longtime fans of CLAWS, Haddish and Cole caught up with the cast as they took a trip down memory lane sharing their favorite moments from the first three seasons of CLAWS.
On Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT, TNT premiered "Chapter Ten: Mercy," the series finale of CLAWS. Desna, the gangster queen of Palmetto, has her final showdown with her nemesis, Quiet Ann. She and her crew prepare to escape from Palmetto but Desna must jump through hoops in this explosive ending.
