Plot Synopsis

In 1943, the staff at Berlin's Charite hospital struggle against the effects of World War II and the Nazi regime, including eugenic medical practices. This sequel to CHARITE opens with a medical student seeking to use a soldier's case for her psychiatry dissertation, while her brother tries to prevent the man's court-martial. In hospital, Anni gets a high-profile roommate. Dr. Sauerbruch welcomes forced recruit Dr. Jung, who shares shocking news he heard on the forbidden BBC. Anni and Artur secretly treat Karin. A colleague begs Sauerbruch to rescue his ill son-in-law from jail. Martin tells Otto why he reports to the police. On Friday, June 14, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released six episodes of CHARITE AT WAR.
