Plot Synopsis

CHAOS IN COURT is a one-hour docuseries that examines clips of dramatic, unexpected, and cathartic courtroom moments. Each 60-minute episode brings the backstories of the crimes and legal proceedings to the forefront with analysis from a diverse panel of experts, including judges, defense attorneys, prosecutors, and criminal psychologists. Featured within each episode are interviews with defendants, family members, and others who witnessed the action to help bring dramatic courtroom moments to life, and the emotional realities of what happens when the ultimate stakes are on trial. In the series opener, "Predators Among Us," infamous sex abuse sports doctor attacked by angry parent; a gang member, a snitch and the F.B.I. collide; defiant defendant curses out judge; murderer taunts mother of two teenage son; singing for a lenient sentence; and prisoner meets his baby in courtroom.

Season 2 of CHAOS IN COURT debuted on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 10-11pm ET/PT, as Investigation Discovery aired back-to-back new episodes:

"Chances and Circumstances" (10pm): A mother attacks the brother of a world-famous Olympian after a judge acquits him of murder; a Zoom hearing takes a frightening turn.

"Acts of Violence" (10:30pm): A nanny who murdered two children asks for forgiveness; a bailiff risks his life to catch a fleeing defendant; a judge throws a fit, then launches a book at a reluctant jury member; a woman flashes a judge at a bond hearing.
