Plot Synopsis

CELEBRITY LEGACIES is a one-hour factual series that reveals how rich (or poor) the famous actually were when they died, and then chronicles the full story about who tried to lay claim to the inheritance (or unknown debt) -- and who finally got it. This series also looks at how some celebrity's fortunes have grown since they passed and how some of their estates are still making the highest-paid lists years after their death. Each 60-minute episode focuses on a different celebrity, including: James Gandolfini, the star of THE SOPRANOS, who died on vacation at age 51 and left a will that still has legal experts debating its familial fairness and financial impact on his heirs; Jim Morrison, the lead singer of The Doors, who died in a Paris bathtub at just 27 and left all his worldly possessions to his girlfriend, Pamela Courson, only to have his estate pass to her parents -- instead of his siblings -- following her untimely death; and more celebs like Whitney Houston, John F. Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, Heath Ledger, and more.
