Plot Synopsis

Funnyman Conan O'Brien hosts this collection of classic Johnny Carson interviews from three decades of THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JOHNNY CARSON. On one day of the week for an entire month -- Mondays in July 2013 and Tuesdays in March 2014 -- Turner Classic Movies presented five or six 12-minute episodes, with Carson gabbing with these Hollywood greats (with the month/year the interview originally aired):
July 1: Drew Barrymore (7/1982); Kirk Douglas (8/1988); Mary Tyler Moore (11/1978); Neil Simon (6/1980); George Burns (11/1989).
July 8: Doris Day (1/1976); Charlton Heston (3/1976); Chevy Chase (12/1986); Steve Martin (6/1979); Tony Curtis (1/1973).
July 15: Shelley Winters (9/1975); Ronald Reagan (3/1975); Robin Williams (10/1981); Jonathan Winters (12/1988); Michael Caine (1983).
July 22: Mel Brooks (9/1983); Dom Deluise (4/1976); Bette Davis (2/1983); Burt Reynolds (2/1972); Fred Astaire (12/1979).

CARSON ON TCM returned for a second season on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 8pm ET/5pm PT, with Conan O'Brien again hosting the new installments. Moving to Tuesdays, Season 2 of CARSON ON TCM featured these classic interviews (with the month/year the interview originally aired):
