Plot Synopsis

During an eight-week challenge, two teams from the Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix each build drag racing cars that will compete against each other during the season finale in a best-of-five showdown at the Firebird International Raceway in Phoenix, with the losing car getting crushed. The winning team will receive scholarships and cash prizes. Each 10-person team has 100 hours to complete its car, but they can gain time -- or lose time -- depending on their performance in challenges. Hosted by: Carey Hart, Freestyle Motorcross Motorcycle Racer and Off-Road Racer; and Clay Millican, Top Fuel Dragster Champion. The challenge judges are: Antron Brown, who dominated NHRA's Pro Stock Bike division until heading to Don Schumacher Racing to drive Top Fuel Dragsters; Jason Line, who started his career in the shop with Joe Gibbs Racing for five years on the NASCAR circuit before being named NHRA's Rookie of the Year in 2004; and Cruz Pedregon, who has 32 career wins and has won the NHRA's Full Thottle Championship twice.
