Plot Synopsis

Army Captain Jason McCord is deemed to be a coward after the massacre at Bitter Creek, where he is the only survivor. Unjustly accused, he is stripped of his rank and thrown out of the army in disgrace. Refusing to speak of the incident, he travels the West proving he is a man of courage by helping those in need. Along the way, he is introduced to President Grant, who engages McCord to assist in undercover operations for the government.
