Plot Synopsis

Host Bobby Flay travels across America, challenging three pairs of outstanding home cooks in each city to throw a themed dinner party. Each team has three hours and a limited budget to create a spectacular three-course dinner party for Bobby and his special guests. In each 60-minute episode, Bobby stops in one city, including: Los Angeles, for a Hollywood-themed dinner party, where best friends Kevin and Jay smoke their own chicken, supper club friends Hogan and Judy use a sous vide, and married couple Tanya and Brad roll out the red carpet; Dallas, for a Wild West themed dinner party, where cousins Meika and Crystal forget a key ingredient, best friends Susan and Grace-Anne attempt to make sorbet from scratch, and high school friends Alisa and Stephen "twist" their way through the kitchen; Chicago, for a speakeasy-themed dinner party, where married couple Steve and Kat throw a party that feels more like Prohibition than speakeasy, husbands Marc and Ryan serve everything but the kitchen sink, and mother and son Doris and John take the theme to a whole new level; Northern New Jersey, for a diner-themed dinner party, where brothers Jim and Bill make their own mozzarella cheese, husband and wife Eren and Kristen struggle to keep their cool while burning their fingers, and brother Ed and sister Liza pay homage to their Italian and Lebanese heritages; and New York, for a melting pot-themed dinner party, where best friends Cat and Noelle draw upon their world travels, best friends Nappy and Craig take-on frying their dessert, and husband and wife Chris and Sarah attempt to grind and create their own sausage.
