Plot Synopsis

Created and written by Joe Brumm, BLUEY is a series of seven-minute animated shorts that center on Bluey, an inexhaustible six year-old Blue Heeler dog, who loves to play and turns everyday family life into extraordinary adventures, developing her imagination as well as her mental, physical and emotional resilience. This series takes a funny and honest look at modern family life, while celebrating how imaginative play helps shape healthy children. Australian blue heeler puppy Bluey has a boundless imagination and loves to turn daily life into playful adventures. She and little sister Bingo throw themselves into exploring their world, using gameplay to conquer their fears and try out adult roles. And they like nothing more than pulling their parents -- particularly Dad -- into their fun and games. Mum Chilli's gone back to work and Dad Bandit juggles childcare with working from home. But though he might think he's in charge, the girls are definitely calling the shots when it comes to playtime -- and pretty much everything else! When BLUEY airs on linear television, three stories are combined into a single 30-minute episode.

Season 3 of BLUEY debuted on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, as Disney+ released 25 seven-minute episodes. The third season builds on the series' first two seasons with new friends and locations. The premiering episodes also include a range of home-based stories that reflect, in humorous and sometimes poignant detail, the usual and unexpected occurrences of everyday family life with relatable themes such as making dad a birthday breakfast, keeping promises, and getting one's own bedroom. Season Three will also feature original takes on games, like Musical Statues and Pass the Parcel, among others.
