Plot Synopsis

In three one-hour episodes, BLUE COLLAR DOGS shows how canines are used to detect disease, protect the border and help police solve crimes. The three episodes are: "Canine MD," which highlights how dogs help humans live by detecting diseases like epilepsy, diabetes and cancer; "Border Hounds," which follows U.S. Customs and Border Protections elite K-9 teams patrol our nation's front lines; and "New York Police," which focuses on the K-9 squad of the New York Police Department and how these NYC police dogs sniff out hidden bombs, search for bodies and defend the subways.
