Plot Synopsis

Created by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin & Jennifer Flackett, BIG MOUTH is a half-hour animated comedy series for adults that follows teenage friends who find their lives upended by the wonders and horrors of puberty. In the series opener, "Ejaculation," Andrew falls under the spell of the randy Hormone Monster, and his buddy Nick becomes obsessed with the lack of changes in his own body. Netflix released the entire 10-episode first season of BIG MOUTH on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.

On Friday, October 5, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the 10-episode second season of BIG MOUTH. In the season opener, "Am I Normal?," Andrew struggles to blend in after a growth spurt, Nick worries his hormones are out of whack, and Jessi and Jay get a taste of the teen runaway life. Then, in the second episode, "What Is It About Boobs?," a classmate's booming bosom sends the boys into a rapture -- and leaves the girls with a raging case of insecurity. Coach Steve drops a bombshell.

Netflix released " My Furry Valentine," a half-hour BIG MOUTH Valentine's Day special, on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. Sappy cards. Stupid cliches. And so much pressure. For Andrew, Nick, Jessi and friends, Valentine's Day is a total freaking minefield. Sparks fly -- for all the wrong reasons -- as Nick, Andrew, Jessi and friends navigate the pressures and humiliations of Valentine's Day.

Season 3 of BIG MOUTH premiered on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire 10-episode new season. This season, romantic misadventures, infuriating school rules and epic clashes of the sexes send the friends hurtling into confusing new territory. In the season opener, "Girls Are Angry Too," a shop class mishap inspires a sexist dress code, and Jessi rebels; meanwhile, Missy struggles to keep her alter ego in check, and Andrew gets a wake-up call. Season 3 guest voices include: Nathan Fillion as himself, Zachary Quinto as Aiden, Kristen Wiig as Jessi's vagina, Ali Wong as new student Ali, Chelsea Peretti as Nick's phone, Martin Short as Gordie, Judd Hirsch as Andrew's grandfather, David Cross as Andrew's Uncle Skip, Carol Kane as the Menopause Banshee, Craig Robinson as Harvey Brooks, Retta as Duke Ellington's mother, Wanda Sykes as the ghost of Harriet Tubman, QUEER EYE cast as themselves, Thandie Newton as Missy's monstress, and more.

The 10-episode fourth season of BIG MOUTH premiered on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire new season. Ayo Edebiri takes over as the voice of Missy in the ninth episode of Season 4 and will continue in future seasons. On the brink of eighth grade, the friends contend with summer camp torments, shady alter egos, new make-out frontiers and Tito the Anxiety Mosquito. In the season opener, "The New Me," Jessi befriends her trans cabinmate at sleep-away camp, and Nick discovers his two best friends have a little too much in common. Then, in "The Hugest Period Ever," Jessi deals with menstrual mayhem, Nick tries to avoid showering with the guys, and Missy gets a makeover from her cousins in Atlanta. Season 4 guest voices include: Seth Rogen as Seth Goldberg, John Oliver as Harry, Maria Bamford as Tito the Anxiety Mosquito, Sterling K. Brown as Michaelangelo, Zach Galifianakis as The Gratitoad, Josie Totah as Natalie, Quinta Brunson and Lena Waithe as Quinta and Lena, Thandie Newton as Mona the Hormone Monstress, Anna Konkle and Maya Erskine as Izzy and Misha, Paul Giamatti as I'm Not Telling You, and more.

Season 5 of BIG MOUTH debuted on Friday, November 5, 2021, as Netflix released the entire 10-episode new season. This season takes on the theme of love & hate with the introduction of lovebugs and hate worms, amorphous creatures that can shift between the two forms (like caterpillars and butterflies). Nick's lovebug, Walter (guest star Brandon Kyle Goodman), pushes Nick to pursue his feelings for Jessi until she publicly rejects him, turning Walter into a hate worm who leads Nick down a dark, rancorous path. Meanwhile, Jessi's lovebug, Sonya (guest star Pamela Adlon), appears as Jessi gets closer with Ali and eventually wonders if she loves her as more than a friend. Jessi and Ali's new close bond, and joint co-opting of Missy's affinity group, sends Missy into her own hate spiral, fueled by hate worm Rochelle (guest star Keke Palmer). Jealousy, unrequited love, and newfound crushes abound in this new form-breaking season as the Big Mouth teens navigate 8th grade. Additional new guest stars for Season 5 include: Adam Scott as Mr. Keating, Jemaine Clement as Simon Sex, Kristen Schaal as Bernie, Kumail Nanjiani as Kumail Nanjiani, and Chloe Fineman as Leah. Returning guest voice include: Ali Wong, Andrew Rannells, Chelsea Peretti, David Thewlis, Gary Cole, Gina Rodriguez, Jak Knight, Jean Smart, Joel Kim Booster, Jon Daly, June Diane Raphael, Kristen Wiig, Lena Waithe, Maria Bamford, Mark Duplass, Natasha Lyonne, Nathan Fillion, Paula Pell, Quinta Brunson, Richard Kind, Rosa Salazar, Seth Morris, Thandiwe Newton, Zach Galifianakis and Zachary Quinto. Goodman, Palmer and Adlon will also appear in the BIG MOUTH spin-off, HUMAN RESOURCES, and their characters are introduced in this new season.

The 10-episode sixth season of BIG MOUTH dropped on Friday, October 28, 2022 on Netflix. This season, secret relatives, a viral quiz and romantic curveballs unleash a fresh wave of torment and self-discovery for the Bridgeton Middle crew. Season 6 guest stars include: Adam Levine, Annaleigh Ashford, Amber Ruffin, Brian Tyree Henry, Chris O'Dowd (as Flanny O'Lympic from Human Resources), Cole Escola, Ed Helms, Ira Glass, Jeff Goldblum, Matt Rogers, Peter Capaldi, Steve-O, and Tyler The Creator.
