Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Brad Smith, each one-hour episode of THE BIG BAKE features three professional baking teams, who each have five hours to design, bake and decorate a grand-scale cake creation based on a particular theme. These bakers need to think big and bold, blowing up their designs to gigantic proportions and thinking outside the (bakery) box to impress the judges: Harry Eastwood, Eddie Jackson, and a guest judge. In the end, the most ambitious, eye-popping and delicious cake goes home with a $10,000 prize. THE BIG BAKE had its U.S. premiere on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 10pm ET/PT on Food Network. In this episode, "Jack-o'-Slantern," with Halloween just around the corner, host Brad Smith challenges the baking teams to work all the angles as they carve topsy-turvy jack-o'-lantern cakes. Judges Harry Eastwood, Eddie Jackson and Anna Olson decide which creation gets them properly pumped for pumpkins and earns the win.

After a five-month break, THE BIG BAKE returned with new episodes on Food Network at 11pm ET/PT. In this new episode, "Love at First Fright," it's the season of scares, but that doesn't mean that cupid is on vacation! Brad Smith hosts as three baking teams try to woo judges Eddie Jackson, Ron Ben-Israel and Harry Eastwood with swoon-worthy cakes that showcase a Halloween romance.
