Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, BEST TIME EVER WITH NEIL PATRICK HARRIS is a one-hour variety series featuring a mix of comedy, music, and game-show elements that's filmed/shown live on the East Coast and telecast on tape delay on the West Coast. In addition to a series of surprise celebrity guests, some of the bits, such as the hidden camera pranks on celebrities, are filmed beforehand, but the majority of experiences are performed live in front of the studio audience. NPH will be joined by: his sidekick, Nicole Scherzinger, who will assist him with "Singalong Live," "End of the Show," and many more mini-game shows and competitions; child actor Nathaniel Motulsky as Little NPH, who will conduct some celebrity interviews and appear on stage; and celebrity guest announcers, like Reese Witherspoon (as guest announcer in the series premiere), Alec Baldwin, Tyler Perry, Shaquile O'Neal, Jack Black, Reba, Kelly Ripa, and Kelsey Grammer.

Olympic gold medalist Apolo Ohno returned as a correspondent for "Ticket to Slide," in which the segment's inaugural couple from Chicago finally took their shot at winning the best New Year's Ever when Ohno turns up live in a surprise location with a giant inflatable slide. In addition, a member of the studio audience was surprised with the opportunity to "Get Lucky" and win incredible prizes in a series of high-stakes trivia questions.
