Plot Synopsis

Utilizing vignettes interwoven with sketches, THE BEN SHOW is a sketch show/man-on-the-street hybrid starring comedian Ben Hoffman, while he also explores the randomness of his life by forming a band, going on a blind date, buying a firearm or returning to his hometown in Kentucky. Plus, Ben seeks advice and guidance from strangers as well as people he knows, including his dad, ex-girlfriends and therapist, who also help him introduce the sketches. In the premiere episode, Ben chats with Todd Bridges, who relates past stories using animation to discuss his crack use; old ladies audition for a role as "Gangsta Granny"; Ben chats with his therapist about buying a firearm; as the 'Retweeter,' Ben shows the absurdity of celebrity tweets; and a rapper brings musical flair to the obits in "YoBitchuaries."
