Plot Synopsis

BELLE'S is a scripted comedy series about a mult-generational family, who own and operate Belle's, an upscale soul-food restaurant in Atlanta. Big Bill, the owner of Belle's and the family's patriarch, is a widower who often shows his soft side, especially in situations ranging from the time he learned a customer once owned Belle's family during slavery and even when he struggled to slaughter a hog for a pig roast. Big Bill's oldest daughter, Jill, works the front desk, and is looking for the perfect guy, who she thought she found until he had dinner with her family. Aunt Gladys, Big Bill's sister-in-law, is Belle's head chef, who uses so much lard in her old-school recipes that Bill organizes an intervention to break her of the habit. Loretta, Big Bill's youngest daughter and prima donna, gets into hot water for dating a married man. Maurice is Belle's bartender and ladies man, while Pam, Jill's 12-year-old daughter, is the sensible one in the family. Season 1 guest stars include Cameron Mathison, Vivica A. Fox, Dionne Warwick, Richard T. Jones, Wendy Williams and Gary Dourdan.
