Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Michael Mixon, each one-hour episode of BBQ RIG RACE features four teams of top pit masters competing in a series of elimination cook-offs, ending with the final two facing off for ultimate bragging rights and a $10,000 prize. On Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2pm ET/PT, Food Network premiered the pilot of BBQ RIG RACE, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the pilot, "Meat in the Heart of Texas," Michael takes the contestants on a wild road trip through the heart of Texas.
