Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Mike Greenberg and Joe Tessitore, this updated version of the '70s and '80 pop-culture classic series again features TV celebrities and athletes participating in a variety of athletic games, filmed at the same venue as the original show: Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. This version of BATTLE OF THE NETWORK STARS is a 10-episode summer event that pits teams of current and classic TV stars from multiple eras and different genres against one another in a fresh take at some of the classic show's sporting events like Tug of War, Archery, Kayak Relay, the Obstacle Course and the Dunk Tank. Cassidy Hubbarth and Cari Champion are the sideline reporters; plus DeMarcus Ware and Ronda Rousey are the team captains. The season opener, "TV Sitcoms vs TV Kids," featured these celebrities: TV Sitcoms (Bronson Pinchot, Tom Arnold, Dave Coulier, AJ Michalka, Tracy Gold) vs. TV Kids (Joey Lawrence, Corbin Bleu, Nolan Gould, Lisa Whelchel, Kim Fields); Variety (Joanna Krupa, Nick Lachey, Vanessa Lachey, Gilles Marini, Jack Osbourne) vs. TV Sex Symbols (Keegan Allen, Traci Bingham, Rosa Blasi, Brant Daugherty, Galen Gering); White House (Cornelius Smith Jr., Marlee Matlin, Joshua Malina, LaMonica Garrett, Mary McCormack) vs. Lawyers (Elisabeth Rohm, Corbin Bernsen, Matt McGorry, Romi Dias, Catherine Bell).

On Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 8-10pm ET/PT, ABC premiered the season finale of BATTLE OF THE NETWORK STARS, debuting back-to-back new episodes:
