Plot Synopsis

Executive produced and hosted by Maya Rudolph and Andy Samberg, BAKING IT is a holiday competition series in which eight teams of two talented home bakers join Maya and Andy at a winter cabin for a celebration of culinary holiday traditions. Contestant duos work together to create outstanding savory and sweet creations for themed challenges with the hopes of winning a cash prize, while Maya and Andy lead the festivities, also providing comedic and musical commentary on the action. The bakers' holiday treats are judged by four opinionated real-life grandmothers -- Anne "Grandma" Leonhard, Norma "Bubbe" Zager, Sherri "Gigi" Williams and Harriet "Nana" Robin -- who happen to be fantastic bakers themselves! Duos include: Jonah Nigh and Patrick Herron (spouses), Joelle Hernandez and Jordan Hernandez (twin sisters), Reggie Gonzalez and Cesar Gonzalez (siblings), Sharon Hutko and Mike Hutko (spouses), Stephanie Moikeha and Jessica Washburn (sisters), Steve O'Leary and Tom O'Leary (father + son), Gerard Bogdon and Shawn Curwen (best friends) and Niyati Nakra and Abhi Chhabra (spouses) are the highly-talented contestant duos participating in the competition for a cash prize. The entire six-episode first season of BAKING IT dropped on Thursday, December 2, 2021 on Peacock. One day later -- on Friday, December 3 at 8pm ET/PT -- BAKING IT made its linear television debut, as NBC aired the "Holidays Your Way" episode.

New host Amy Poehler joins returning host Maya Rudolph for the second season of BAKING IT. A new batch of bakers compete in a series of challenges designed by Amy and Maya themselves to test the bakers more than ever for the chance to win some serious money and the adoration of our beloved BAKING IT judges, the Grandmothers! This year's challenges are filled with explosions, implements of destruction, smashing cakes, and more! The second season of BAKING IT marks the first time the Emmy-winners have hosted a series together. The new batch of bakers are: roommates Allen Speigner and Matthew Bardoner (Cookeville, TN); brothers Keith Holland and Corey Holland (Fort Washington MD and Decatur, GA); siblings Reema Patel and Ravi Patel (Chicago, IL); couple Sharon "Sevn" Strickland and Shemara "Kandyy" Pittman (Charlotte, NC); mother/daughter Madison "Maddie" Howton and April Howton (Florence, AL); sisters Sydney Brasuell and Jenna Brasuell (McKinney, TX); friends Yuki Burton and Omonivie "Olma" Agboghidi (Oakland, CA); married couple Agnes Tamburello Molina and George Molina (Middle Village, NY). Season 2 debuted on Monday, December 12, 2022, as Peacock released the season opener early morning and NBC debuted a new holiday special at 10pm ET/PT. A new episode dropped each Monday on Peacock through January 9. Season 2 of BAKING IT made its linear television debut on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 8pm ET/PT on NBC.
