Plot Synopsis

BAKED IN TRADITION is a half-hour docuseries that follows baker Bryan Ford, as he explores the techniques and traditions behind New York City's best baked goods, and how the city's diverse cultures put their own twists on simple ingredients to bring family and friends together, every time. BAKED IN TRADITION debuted on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 3-4pm ET on Magnolia Network with back-to-back episodes:

"The Flaky Pastry: Searching for the Perfect Flake" (3pm): Baker Bryan Ford sets out to discover why flaky pastries are the most sought-after treats in cultures across the globe; he takes a deep dive into one-of-a-kind croissants, traditional Greek Spanakopita, and creates his own Argentine Medialuna.

"Shareable Flatbread: Culture Around the Table" (3:30pm): Iconic flatbreads and how they bring people together in cultures near and far; Bryan heads to Harlem for the freshest Ethiopian Injera and then goes home to make fresh tortillas with Mom.
