Plot Synopsis

THE ASPEN INSTITUTE PRESENTS is a series of 10 discussions selected from the 2012 Aspen Ideas Festival which was presented for the eighth consecutive year by the Aspen Institute and "The Atlantic." The premiere episode was "Parenting in the 21st Century," featuring Katie Couric and Anne-Marie Slaughter, the 2009-2011 director of policy planning under US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and author of the much discussed Atlantic article, "Why Women Still Can't Have it All." Subsequent episodes included: "The Transformative Power of Technology"; "America 2012: A Country Divided"; "US Economy: Solutions to Crisis"; "Democracy On Trial"; "War & Peace in the Modern World"; "Our Planet: 7 Billion and Counting"; "What We Believe: An Exploration of Values"; "Arts and Culture: Art Matters"; and "Sports and Society: More than a Game"
