Plot Synopsis

ANIMAL AIRPORT is a half-hour reality series that follows the tales of the many creatures that pass through the doors of the Animal Reception Centre at the world's busiest airport, Heathrow in the UK, where many species of animals journey across the globe -- some legally, but many illegally. As well as thousands of dogs and cats, they also have almost every animal imaginable through their doors, including sloths, giant octopi, bears, elephants, tigers, lions, sharks, alpacas, venomous snakes, vampire bats and the British Olympic equestrian team.

Animal Planet broadcast the U.S. premiere of Season 2 on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11am ET/PT, showing back-to-back episodes. In the show's sophomore season, Stuart, Lisa and Ross are joined by newbies Sian, Will and Michelle, as they protect the UK's borders from animal disease and illegal animal transport by checking-in and checking-out over 40 million animals every year. In the Season 2 premiere, senior Animal Health Officer Stuart nurses a rare tarsier back to health, Ross has his hands full with a seriously cranky cat, Sian has her first experience of Alpacas as 35 arrive in one go, and Rocket the German Spitz begins his new life in the UK.
