Plot Synopsis

Former major-league-player Charlie Goodson balances his private practice, helping his clients with anger management, and his private life with his ex-wife Jennifer, 13-year-old OCD daughter Sam, and his own therapist/best friend Kate. Charlie was a stalled minor-league baseball prospect whose road to the majors was sidetracked by his own struggle with anger issues until a stint in anger management therapy showed him the light -- and an emotional path to the major leagues, where he had one terrific season until tried to snap a bat over his leg, resulting in a career-ending injury. After leaving baseball, Charlie went back to school and his current profession, holding sessions with his group of primary patients each week, as well as performing pro bono counseling for an inmate group at a state prison. After FX aired 10 episodes of this series in Fall 2012, the network ordered a total of 100 episodes of this series. ANGER MANAGEMENT returned for the start of its 90-episode run, starting on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 9pm, showing back-to-back new episodes in which Charlie loses it at a baby shower and then wonders if his dad is starting to lose his mind. After a two-month break, ANGER MANAGEMENT returned on Monday, August 4, 2014, as FX aired back-to-back new episodes on Mondays from 10-11pm ET/PT for six consecutive weeks. After another two-month break, ANGER MANAGEMENT returned on Monday, November 3, 2014, as FX aired back-to-back new episodes on Mondays from 10-11pm ET/PT. In the night's first episode, "Charlie Plays Hide and Go Cheat," Charlie finds himself in a contest with a female private investigator to prove that he could cheat on her without getting caught. Then, in the second new episode, "Charlie and the Revenge of the Hot Nerd," Charlie's life is taken hostage by a controlling techy girl.

On Monday, December 22, 2014 from 10-11pm ET/PT, FX premiered the final two episodes of ANGER MANAGEMENT. In "Charlie and the Sexy Swing Vote," the night's first episode at 10pm, Charlie and Jordan hire a hot tie-breaker to work as their associate on the prison clinic program. Then at 10:30pm in the show's 100th and final episode, Charlie has to make a decision between keeping his group and being a sports psychologist for a baseball team.
