Plot Synopsis

Metal singer and former pro wrestler Chris Jericho hosts this countdown of the top 100 hard-rock songs of all time, as voted by viewers in online polls. Each night from Thursday, November 1, through Saturday, November 10, Jericho reveals ten songs in each 60-minute episode, with the top 10 songs being unveiled on the 2nd annual National Metal Day. During September 2012, VH1 Classic ran online voting on 10 different days, allowing viewers to vote for any of the 10 pre-selected songs featured for that day's voting. After the polls closed -- and after fans voted more than one million times -- VH1 Classic selected the songs that were top vote getters from each poll, added five wildcard songs, and then asked viewers to vote one more time from this list of the Final 15 Songs, which included: poll winners Dream Theater's "Pull Me Under," Type O Negative's "Black No. 1," Bon Jovi's "Living On A Prayer," Cinderella's "Gypsy Road," Dio's "Holy Diver," Rush's "Limelight," Poison's "Nothin' But A Good Time," Guns N' Roses' "November Rain," Ozzy Osbourne and Randy Rhoads' "Crazy Train," and Black Sabbath's "Paranoid"!; and five wildcards, AC/DC's "Back In Black," Accept's "Balls To The Wall," Guns N' Roses' "Paradise City," Megadeth's "Sweating Bullets," and Poison's "Talk Dirty To Me," which were the top five vote getters of the non-winning songs.
