Plot Synopsis

For the first six seasons of this series, restoration expert Rick Dale, along with his staff and teenage son, restore previously trashed articles, bringing them back to life. At his Las Vegas-based Rick's Restorations, Dale has restored everything from Cadillacs to Coke machines. History aired a four-episode preview of the series with back-to-back half-hour episodes on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 10pm ET/PT and on Monday, November 2, 2010 at 10pm ET/PT , more than five months before the official series premiere. AMERICAN RESTORATION returned for its most recent season on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT, with back-to-back new episodes featuring a 1950s Bevador beverage cooler, a rare 1940s Rexair vacuum, a rare 1930s photo booth, and a trip to the Rose Bowl flea market. Three months later, this series celebrated its 100th episode on Tuesday, June 18. AMERICAN RESTORATION returned for its fifth season on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, as History showed back-to-back new episodes. Season 5 opened with Rick realizing he'll need to hire extra hands to keep the shop running smoothly as business is booming. New guy Chris is tested on a Dale Drake scooter that arrived in pieces in the season opener, and the team got more than they bargained for when they meet Leonard, a self-proclaimed picking-nerd, who hoped to score a job at the shop.
Season 7 of AMERICAN RESTORATION premiered on Friday, January 1, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on History. The new season move from Rick Dale's shop, instead featuring the restorations of five other workshops across the United States, like Bodie Stroud Industries, Wheels Through Time, Monkey Business, Steve's Restoration and Bob's Garage. Rick Dale and his crew are no longer part of the series. In the season opener, "Under Fire," the pressure is on for Bodie when the biggest restoration of his career flames out. Meanwhile, Dale Walksler's routine tune-up on a 1946 Harley turns into a full blown over-haul. Then, the Monkey Business team runs into a hairy situation when a customer brings in a family relic from the late 1800s.
