Plot Synopsis

In this one-hour reality series, seven clans do whatever it takes to protect their turf on Hawaii's Big Island, as they respect their families and revere their ancestors while hunting the old way: with knives and spears. On the island paradise of Hawaii, thousands of acres of untamed jungle are home to wild beasts and the men who live off the land in the ancient ways of their ancestors. Generations of families have claimed, maintained and fought over their own sacred hunting trails. When the dry season comes, wild boar, goats, feral bulls and small game crisscross the island in search for water. That's when the battle begins to control their territory and feed their families. The clans are: the Spear Clan, descended from Hawaiian royalty, whose leader, Scotty, left for mainland seven years ago but has returned and is determined to return the clan to its former power; the Rosa Clan, the smallest group, whose leader, Tony, was estranged for the past 10 years, but he has reconnected with his 19-year-old son, Isaac, so the family's knowledge doesn't die with him; the Correa Clan, whose leader, 67-year-old Pa, must decide which of his sons will take his place and bring home enough food to feed some 20 immediate family members; the Blood Clan, whose leader, Johnny Blaze, and his friends, Eric and Kalei, are a band of outlaws who hunt all the trails in the belief that the jungle belongs to no one clan; the Cowboy Clan, descendants of a long line of Californian-Mexican vaqueros, whose leader, Curly, and trusted partner, Lionel, hunt the plains on horseback while not respecting the idea of trails being owned; the Ocean Clan, born and bred locals, whose members, Chewy and Prophet, don't take kindly to intruders, forcing most clans to want to keep the peace with them instead of crossing them; and the Outsiders, who are not a clan - because they both don't own trails and are not respected by others on the Island -- but Big Joe and Mark realize they must make a name for themselves.
