Plot Synopsis

Every weeknight (Mon-Fri) at 5pm ET/2pm PT, Jorge Ramos anchors this one-hour newsmagazine, which emphasizes current events and themes of interest to Hispanics, including stories from the United States and across Latin America. On Monday, October 28, 2013, the day that Fusion launched as a new channel, AMERICA WITH JORGE RAMOS premiered at 7pm ET/4pm PT, moving to its regular timeslot the following day. In that first episode, which was the first program broadcast by Fusion, President Barack Obama spoke exclusively with Fusion White House Correspondent Jim Avila. Plus, Ramos interviewed Republican Senator Ted Cruz about immigration reform, his political future, his Canadian citizenship, and Obamacare. Finally, Ramos spent time with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, confronting him over racial profiling.
