Plot Synopsis

AMERICA UNCOVERED is a half-hour reality series that follows Brian Unger as he travels across the United States, revealing surprising stories of the all-American people, places and things that won't be found in an ordinary travel guide. Mixing history, travel and food with a heavy dose of wit, Brian offers a new look at America -- one destination at a time. Each 30-minute episode features a different city. On Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 1-2pm ET/PT, Travel Channel premiered back-to-back new episodes, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the premiere episode (1pm), "Remembering San Antonio," Brian shines a light on the Alamo City, one of the nation's best-kept travel secrets -- and the place Mark Twain once said was one of only four unique cities in the United States. Then, in the day's second new episode (1:30pm), "Keep Austin Weird," Brian travels to Austin, Texas, to see if the slogan "Keep Austin Weird" still fits the state capital.
