Plot Synopsis

After discovering hip-hop in their small West German town, three teenage outcasts -- Walter, Ben, and Nik -- embark on a journey to cement themselves as 1990s rap legends...even if it means sneaking into a nearby U.S. Army base. Walter and Ben scour Eichfeld for the perfect rap beat to perform at their school festival, while Nik discovers some DJ talents of his own. Despite landing on a fly crew name, a shaky grasp of English threatens to derail the group's first performance at the school festival. ALMOST FLY made its U.S. debut on Thursday, July 21, 2022, as HBO Max released all six episodes of this coming-of-age series.
