Plot Synopsis

When Uncle Julien abdicates his throne, Prince Julien becomes king of the lemurs and the reign of King Julien the Thirteenth begins, but he quickly discovers that he has to do more than throw parties if he's going to be a successful leader. With his loyal sidekicks Maurice and Mort, they meet a whole new cast of colorful animals, including ambitious head of security Clover and the villainous Foosa. But no one can stop the new king from ruling with an iron fist...in the air...wavin' like he just doesn't care, especially when he learns that 99% of the lemurs love him and makes it his mission to find and convert his one hater. Later, King Julien must save Clover and Maurice, who are captured by his nemesis Karl, an evil genius intent on destroying him. But will King Julien be able to hold onto the throne when Uncle King Julien decides he wants to reclaim it? Neflix premiered this series on Friday, December 19, 2014, releasing five episodes and then another five episodes on April 3, 2016. Netflix released the 13-episode third season of ALL HAIL KING JULIEN on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. Season 4 of ALL HAIL KING JULIEN premiered on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire season.

On Friday, December 1, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the entire 13-episode fifth season of ALL HAIL KING JULIEN. In the season opener, "Julien 2.0," King Julien announces he's turning over a new leaf and seeks anonymous suggestions from his subjects on how to improve their kingdom.
