Plot Synopsis

Using rarely seen combat footage and the stories of the dedicated pilots and teams who fly the powerful aircraft, AIR WARRIORS chronicles these American undisputed kings of the sky -- F-15 Eagle, AH-64 Apache, and V-22 Osprey -- in the first season.

Season 2 premiered on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 8pm ET on Ovation, immediately following a three-hour block of encore episodes from 5-8pm. The second season features: A-10 Warthog, EA-6B Prowler, and UH-60 Black Hawk.

The seventh season of AIR WARRIORS debuted on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 9pm ET/PT on Smithsonian Channel. The season opener, "Top Dogfighters," flies into battle in the F-15 Eagle, F-4 Phantom, F6F Hellcat, and more as it examines wartime's most thrilling dogfights.

A new season of AIR WARRIORS debuted on Smithsonian Channel on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 8pm ET/PT. The season opener, "F-86 Sabre," tells the inside story of the F-86 Sabre, one of America's first fighter jets, and its epic battles against the Soviet MiG jet during the Korean War and beyond.

AIR WARRIORS returned for a new season on Smithsonian Channel on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at 8pm ET/PT. The season opener, "Lancaster," tells the inside story of the Avro Lancaster, the British bomber that was rushed into service to fight back against Nazi Germany.
