Plot Synopsis

ACTION PLANET is a short-form series that explores how some of the world's most well-known figures are stepping up to make a difference in the world and inspiring audiences to take action. Each 8-12 minute episode features an interview with a high-profile celebrity activist talking about organizations -- including Matt Damon's Water.org, Jane Fonda's Fire Drill Fridays, and Adrian Grenier's Lonely Whale -- they've co-founded or support that are making an impact today.

On Earth Day 2021 (Thursday, April 22), discovery+ released seven episodes, each one featuring one of these celebrities: Adrian Grenier, Jane Fonda, Greta Thunberg, Common, Matt Damon, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Robert Downey Jr. Later that same day, OWN and Discovery aired one-hour specials for this program.
