Plot Synopsis
In 1973, 55-year-old tennis pro and male chauvinist, Bobby Riggs, challenged 29-year-old tennis star Billy Jean King, to a ''Battle of the Sexes''. She knew she had no choice but to accept his challenge, as she had to prove that female athletes deserved comparable prize money as men--and equal respect. A media circus ensued with Riggs favored to win. But in three straight sets King triumphed over Riggs-- changing forever the world of women's sports.
