Plot Synopsis
Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning bio by David McCullough. The life of Missouri Democrat Harry S. Truman (1884-1972) who reluctantly became the 33rd President of the United States. A man of unshakable integrity he was a farmer, World War I soldier, failed haberdasher, Senator and Vice President before beating Dewey. He spent a year of his presidency agonizing over the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
