Plot Synopsis

In the 1980's, having recently moved to town, three siblings, Charlie, Lori and Max, struggle to fit in at their new high school. When Charlie is singled out as the least popular senior, he is befriended by kindly outcast Billie who has a secret crush on him, but he only has eyes for popular girl Kimberly. Meanwhile, budding dancer Lori is shocked to discover that dancing has been banned in her new town and the only place to boogie down is at the illicit dance sessions held in the garage of current janitor and former dance instructor Gabriel. She soon falls for the dance teacher and the pair set into motion a clever plan to bring disco back to town. As Charlie vows to win the heart of Kimberly, by competing against her athletic boyfriend in the school decathlon, his nerdy younger brother, Max, continues working on a highly advanced home computer that soon draws the attention of the CIA.
