Plot Synopsis

They ramped up the camp even more in this highly entertaining -- it's so bad it's good -- sharky malarkey third installment of the SHARKNADO franchise. As chainsaw-wielding hero Fin arrives in Washington, D.C. for a presidential ceremony in his honor at the White House, a mass of sharknados appears, forcing him to spring into action once more. When Fin learns the sharknados are not just attacking the Capitol, but the entire Eastern Seaboard, he races down the coast to rescue his now pregnant wife April and his daughter, who are at the Universal Orlando Resort Florida for spring break. Along the way he meets up with his old friend Nova, who is now obsessed with battling the man-eating beasts. But as the storms grow even bigger and the massive wall of sharknados intensifies, he must find a way stop the unrelenting attacks before the entire Eastern Seaboard is swept up and chomped into oblivion. He turns to his estranged, retired astronaut father who hatches a perilous mission that puts them both on a space shuttle fighting to save their homeland. Who will survive for SHARKNADO 4?

On Friday, April 1, 2015, Syfy and The Asylum revealed that the official title of the next SHARKNADO movie is...SHARKNADO: THE 4TH AWAKENS! The two-hour original movie will premiere four months from now on a TV very, very nearby -- on Syfy, Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 8pm ET/PT.

The fourth installment of the SHARKNADO franchise will take place five years after the East Coast was ravaged in last summer's SHARKNADO 3: OH HELL NO!. Fin (Ian Ziering), his family and the cosmos have been blissfully sharknado-free in the intervening years, but now sharks -- and 'nados! -- are being whipped up in places (and ways) least expected.

Tara Reid is also set to return as April Wexler to reveal the outcome of the fan-voted #AprilLives or #AprilDies social campaign. David Hasselhoff (as Gil Shepard) and Ryan Newman (as Claudia Shepard) will also reprise their SHARKNADO 3 roles. New additions to the SHARKNADO: THE 4TH AWAKENS cast include Gary Busey, Tommy Davidson, Imani Hakim, Cody Linley, Masiela Lusha and Cheryl Tiegs (with more to be announced soon!).
