Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Sheyann Webb and Rachel W. Nelson. In 1965, Alabama, Martin Luther King Jr. delivers his message of nonviolent demonstration. One of his young admires is a feisty 11 year old black girl who is galvanized by his words. Her dedication is sorely tested, however, when she joins in a march from Selma to Montgomery which escalates into bloody violence by baton-wielding Selma cops.
